What are you asking for?

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 NLT

What do you think Jesus had in mind when He said, “keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking?”  I really don’t think it is about material things. I think it is spiritual. Luke says something similar in chapter 11:9-13.  In verse 13, Jesus says what we should be asking for – the Holy Spirit. We should be asking daily for the Holy Spirit to guide us, help us seek truth and live it.

I think there is something else. I think Jesus wants us to keep asking for the salvation of our loved ones. Sometimes I feel like I say the same things each day, but I really don’t think you can ask for the protection and salvation for your loved ones too many times or too often. Don’t give up – keep asking, keep seeking by knocking on heaven’s door for the salvation of your loved ones. I had a woman come to one of my Bible study classes and gave her heart to the Lord.  She said her mother had been praying for her every day. Her mother had passed away, but her prayers were answered.

We have a living God in heaven who hears and answers our prayers.
