What causes you to be afraid?

The LORD is my light and my salvation– whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1 NIV

When I was young, I was afraid of the dark. Shadows can take on some frightening shapes. When you shine a light on the shapes, you realize that it is just a bush or other object. Light makes all the difference. The same is true of our spiritual life. When we have the light of the LORD shining on our path, we have no fear. He provides a place of safety. He lights up the path for us. We can have confidence in the LORD. He replaces fear with trust in Him.
