What is truth?

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, (Ephesians 6:14 NIV)

What is truth?  This was the question that Pilot asked Jesus in John 18:38, yet, Pilot didn’t bother to get an answer.  What is truth?  It is more than being honest and not telling or acting something that is false.  Truth is about God.  Jesus came to tell us the truth about the Father.  What is truth?  The truth is that the Father loves us very much.  Satan has spread many lies.  Tell me, when there is a tornado or other natural disaster an “act of God”?  That is one of the lies that Satan tells.  Natural disasters are the result of sin on this planet.  Revelation tells us that God will destroy sin and make a new earth.  He will restore this earth back to what it was at the beginning.

Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. (Psalms 25:5 NIV)
