What Joy!

Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Psalms 32:1 NLT

What joy there is in knowing that when we confess our sin, God truly forgives. It is no longer counted against us. Confession includes repentance. Repentance means we choose to turn away from sin. Sometimes we love a particular sin, a cherished sin. We may confess the sin but unless we turn away from it, it will continue to hang over us. We need the help of God to remove the desire. We need God’s power to remove it from our lives and take away the desire. We serve a God who cares and wants us to be free from sin. He does not want anything between us and Him so that we a enjoy full fellowship with Him.

But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 1 John 1:9 NLT
