Who Do You Believe? – Genesis 3:6

Genesis 3:6 NIV

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. (Genesis 3:6 NIV)

God said not to eat of the fruit of the tree.  Eve listened to Satan’s logic and reasoning and deduced that maybe he was right.  She wanted wisdom.  So she ate.  Her sin was that she did not believe God.  She decided she knew better (so much for wisdom).  That’s usually where we get in trouble….when we decide we know better than God does. Our first calling is to believe.
