Who Do You Trust?

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5 NLT)

As I meditate on the meaning of this verse I see it is about control.  Do we want to submit our lives to God or do we want to control everything?  Actually, you do have control when you submit to God.  You have a choice.  Who do you trust?  The LORD or yourself?  I vote for the LORD.  He knows the beginning from the end.  He knows the best path to take.  He knows the danger in going our own way.  It is foolish to think that we know better than Him.  The Word of God has all the answers to guide us in this life.

Thank you, LORD, for guiding us.  Thank you for being with us each step of the way.  We trust you.  LORD, we ask that you be in control of our lives.  You are all knowing and powerful.  We trust you with our lives.  In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
