Why did God give us the Bible?

Your Word is true from the beginning; and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. (Psalms 119:160 MKJV)

Why did God give us the Bible?  There are so many answers to this question.  I love the Bible.  It tells me how we got here in Genesis 1 and 2.  It tells me why there is so much evil in the world in Genesis 3.  There are so many stories of how people have struggled with sin and how God has helped them.  Read Judges, 1 & 2 Samuel, 1 & 2 Kings, Esther, Job and so much more.  The Bible tells me through the prophets how much He loves us and encourages us to return to Him.  The Gospels tells us how the Father loves us so much that Jesus came to this earth to show us that love by taking the penalty for our sin and dying so that we may have eternal life.  Revelation tells us the plans of Satan to destroy us but Jesus wins and Satan loses.  What does the Bible mean to you?
