Your Room Is Ready

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? (John 14:2 NIV)

Jesus has promised us that He is preparing a place for us.  Do you ever imagine what heaven will be like?  What do you picture in your mind?  I sometimes picture heaven like a beautiful park with a perfectly manicured lawn, beautiful flowers, and trees laden with fruit ripe for picking.  I picture myself swimming in the river of life that flows from the throne of God.  I picture myself and others bowing at the feet of Jesus.  I picture myself sitting on Jesus’ lap like the children did when He blessed them.  I picture myself meeting my guardian angel.  I picture learning about the universe and other topics that are beyond my ability now.  When I picture heaven in my mind it makes me homesick for heaven.  I can’t wait until Jesus comes and takes us home with Him.  I am looking forward to meeting Him face to face and the Father.  How do you picture heaven?
