The Rock of my salvation

“The LORD lives! Praise to my Rock! May God, the Rock of my salvation, be exalted! (2 Samuel 22:47 NLT)

2 Samuel 22 is a song written by David when he had victory over his enemies and Saul.  He gave his victory to the Lord.  He didn’t take credit for what he did.  He knew he would not have had victory if God had not been on his side.  Jesus is the rock of our salvation also.  He is the one that defeats our enemies.  He is the warrior that fights for us.  As I write this I picture Him in battle uniform like He appeared to Joshua giving him encouragement as the Israelites prepared for war.  I may not see Him but I know He is with me.  His Holy Spirit dwells within me.  Thank you Lord for being my rock and my salvation!
