His Word Stands Firm Regardless of What Happens

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Matthew 24:35 NIV

There is a day coming when this earth will be changed due to sin and how it has degraded the earth. However, God’s Word will not change. His principles will last forever. Check out the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20). Many people say they are not relevant today. If God does not change, then His commandments will not change. Are we living in alignment with God’s Word? It is time to do a self-examination and see.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. 2 Peter 3:9-10 NIV
